Explanation Writing - Natasha
This is my first try at writing an explanation...
Water & Rain
Water is a transparent liquid which forms seas/oceans, lakes, rivers floods, rain and much more. I will be talking to you about how we use water, how water helps us and how we can improve on saving water.
My first reason will be about comparing energy drinks to water…
Most energy drinks have lots of sugar. If you were playing a sport then it would give you lots of energy for a couple of minutes but then after you would completely shut down and run out of energy. It can sometimes lead to a stitch.
Water doesn't have any sugar at all, it is completely natural and it will last for long periods of time. Water is also a very good drink for when you are dehydrated or have a sore throat. It clears it up.
My second reason is about how rain helps the environment…
Rain helps the environment in many ways. One of them is helping plants grow. One of the sources you need to help make a plant grow is water. What does water do for a plant? There are three situations with water: too much, too little and, just enough.
Another way of rain helping the environment is supplying water for wild animals because if the watering hole dries up the animals would have to wait for the next shower.
My Final Reason is not to waste water…
So many people throw out water that they haven't drank/finished yet. The water that people throw out could be cleaned and given to people that don't have enough money to buy water. It costs a lot of money and some people can't afford it. Eventually the world will run out of clean water. Some countries have already got dirty water like parts of Thailand and Africa.
Please remember how important water is to you and the world. Don't waste it, Give water to your plants and pets if you have and remember to drink water!
